Dear Africa:
While I am packing boxes, I am thinking about my friend Drag. Can I take him with me to Africa? Can I have the children help me write this book. I have a manuscript, but I wonder … I have dreamed of writing a book with children being the primary writers.
I don’t even need to pack him he is strong enough to fly to Africa on his own. I wonder what children would think about a pet dragon? We might just have to find out.
*Raising a Dragon in the 21st Century is one of the children’s books I put on hold because I wanted to get the book published to support children orphaned by Ebola first. House remodel first then A Song for Liberia, then maybe Drag’s story. For an except of Drag’s story go here.
Some folks I am enjoying during the A to Z Challenge:
Thank you for visiting Moondustwriter. One of the many exciting things I've had the honor of doing is writing and publishing in multiple genres (including education) in E. African for E. Africa. As a writer, it is a thrill to write for children (on all continents) who want to learn.
I've been part of the blogging community for more than 15 years. Some old timers may remember the award winning (2011 Twitter Shorty ) blog community - One Stop Poetry. I was the co-producer of that fast growing blog community.
I am a published writer, poet, artist and photographer. I have written, as well as edited, for periodicals, radio, blogs and fellow writers. I presently research and edit for academia (what was I thinking?)
There are many facets to this moon - my joy is in meeting you!

My daughter had a minor obsession with dragons when she was younger. Well, she still might.

Like the sketch, and the idea of the kids helping write the story. Drag looks to be a very friendly, approachable kind of critter.
